Press Release
Dealers from across the country came to learn to compete and ‘own their local community’ using Celerant’s FFL POS system and eCommerce
Leading firearms retail software vendor, Celerant Technology, hosted their 17th annual client conference earlier this month. Held virtually over two days, this year’s conference focused on recent changes affecting the industry, and how dealers can overcome challenges, compete with big-box, and better serve their local communities. With new, interactive, firearm workshops and sessions, Celerant introduced many new industry partners and distributors, and discussed options for ATF compliance via FastBound and Gun StoreMaster, buy-trade and consignment, redesigned range application, integrated SMS text message marketing, new reporting capabilities, and much more.
Distributor integration sessions
At the conference, Celerant discussed new distributor integrations with Sportsman Supply, 2nd Amendment Wholesale, Big Rock Sports, Rothco, Bangers and AmChar Wholesale; and existing integrations with Lipsey’s, Zanders, Sports South, RSR Group, Davidson’s, Kinsey’s, and others. Celerant demonstrated how to import catalogs; auto-order distributor’s available inventory, or sell it directly via their eCommerce site and/or in store kiosks; and drop ship orders.
Range management session
Celerant unveiled the resigned range module, and new capabilities to block lanes and classrooms for events, quickly check-in customers with Smartwaiver integration, run dynamic reports that can show lane usage by minute, and more. Celerant also discussed range/course scheduling, online lane reservations, and memberships with recurring billing and club ID cards.
Other features introduced at the conference
Many new and coming soon features were introduced to help Celerant dealers better serve their customers, both in store and online. Some of those features include: automated SMS text message marketing based on triggers such as loyalty rewards, rentals, range reservations and more; one-to-one marketing through integrated clienteling; ‘surprise & delight’ promotions, such as senior days and military discounts; curbside pickup application; multi-carrier shipping through ShipEngine; new marketplace integrations with Everest and Weapon Depot; streamlined eCommerce checkout; new advanced reporting application; and access to industry data, such as the NASGW Scope CLX, from within the Celerant back office software.
Keynote speakers
The conference also featured a ‘Welcome Address’ by Celerant’s President and CEO, Ian Goldman, who compared the ‘Roaring 20s’ to a ‘post-pandemic America’; and keynote speakers Bob Negan of WhizBang! Retail Training and Paul Erickson of Management One, both whom offered a fresh perspective on today’s retail industry and lots of takeaways for attendees.
