Ian Goldman
President & CEO
Ian Goldman, President and CEO of Celerant Technology, is an expert software engineer and entrepreneur with extensive knowledge of Point of Sale systems, CRM, and inventory management. He co-founded Celerant Technology in 1999 with the goal of offering the most efficient and scalable turnkey POS platform to retailers that simplifies operations by integrating all aspects of management into a singular solution. The core of Goldman’s philosophy in running the company is that any edge in the retail environment can help drive traffic to a storefront, generate more revenue and develop positive customer experiences. With Goldman at the helm, Celerant has grown exponentially, and become an industry leader in retail technology.
Prior to Celerant Technology, Goldman was the co-founder of Goldman Marcus – specializing in software solutions for small retailers. Goldman designed and developed software that is now utilized by many retailers throughout the nation. Goldman also served as a software engineer for Downstate Medical Center and Neuro-Imaging Research Corporation, where he designed complex neurological software for health-care.
Robert Goldman
Vice President & CTO
Robert Goldman, Vice President and CTO of Celerant Technology, is an expert software engineer with extensive knowledge of software development, programming, and product research and development (R&D). He co-founded Celerant Technology in 1999 with his brother and Celerant CEO, Ian Goldman, in order to offer the most efficient form of inventory management and POS systems for the retail industry. Goldman’s extensive experience and expertise in the industry, has allowed exponential growth for Celerant in the retail technology industry.
Prior to Celerant Technology, Robert Goldman served as senior technician and technical writer at Goldman Marcus, specializing in developing key software for small retail businesses. Goldman has a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. He was also a member of Chi Epsilon, the renowned civil engineering honor society. In his spare time, Goldman enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
Michele Salerno
Chief Growth Officer
As Chief Growth Officer at Celerant Technology, Michele Salerno has been dedicated to the company’s growth for nearly 20 years. Known for her relationship-focused approach, Michele believes that strong connections are essential to building lasting success. Her passion for growth is reflected in every aspect of her work, from leading dynamic sales and marketing teams to expanding into new retail and geographical markets and cultivating meaningful strategic partnerships.
Michele graduated Cum Laude from the City University of New York, with a dual concentration in marketing and management. Her dedication to building authentic relationships has been key to Celerant’s ongoing success.
Zeke Hamdani
Director of Web Services
Zeke Hamdani, the Director of Web Services for Celerant Technology is an eCommerce expert with over 14 years of experience in the retail industry. With an ultimate goal of delivering cutting edge technology, Hamdani approaches information technology with the abilities of a programmer and the sensibilities of a retailer. Hamdani believes that a keen eye for detail coupled with creative thought is key to creating the best products and had enabled him to effectively compete with juggernaut firms with exponentially more resources.
Melissa Bruno
HR Manager
Melissa is the HR manager at Celerant Technology Corp. and has been with the company over 18 years. Melissa started in the Accounting department when the company had less than 30 employees which has grown to 200. Celerant was growing fast and Melissa embraced the chance to become the HR Manager. She is a dedicated professional with a passion for a positive workplace who uses her interpersonal communication skills to increase employee satisfaction. As the HR Manager Melissa is responsible for the entire HR function, some of which include payroll, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, employee grievances and disciplinary issues.
After work Melissa loves spending time outdoors, being with family and friends but above all, her favorite thing to do is spending time with her son.

Jeff Weaver
Product Manager
As the Product Manager at Celerant Technology, Jeff works with various departments such as R&D, Implementation, Support, Marketing, and Sales to continue to enhance all our Back Office and Point of Sale platforms ranging from Cumulus, to Stratus, to 3rd Party Integration and Mobile Applications. We are always working to stay ahead of the curve and introduce new enhancements that help our retailers succeed and grow while embracing new technology.
Jeff is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and holds a Bachelor’s in Business & Technology majoring in Computer Information Systems. He also has 20+ years of experience in the retail software industry including various rolls such as technical support, quality assurance, training, implementation, documentation, and product management.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters at the lake or on various adventures, and playing ice hockey.

Tony Pagano
Implementation Manager
As the Implementation & Training Department Manager, Tony is responsible for the onboarding of all new clients that come to Celerant. He leads the team of project managers and trainers that handle getting clients trained and prepared for using Celerant’s POS system for both Cumulus and Stratus customers, as well as managing any and all client training needs even after they are using the system in a live production environment at their retail location(s). Tony also oversees and coordinates the additional work required for new and existing client implementations including vendor integration setups, data conversion, and all post-live training related to POS. With over 20 years of experience leading and mentoring project managers across different industries, Tony has considerable expertise in bringing people together and doing whatever is required to get projects completed.
Tony holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Sociology from Rutgers University.
Sunill Paek
R&D Manager
Experienced software architect and developer with a focus on innovation, leading transformative projects defining my career. In 2011, conceptualized and developed Stratus (Cumulus), an integrated suite comprising Backoffice, POS, and Store systems. Pivotal contributions include CCM (Celerant Command Mobile) and a robust Push/Pull system for seamless data synchronization.
Championed Celerant’s automated testing with Selenium, resulting in a shift from manual testing, reducing timelines from 2 weeks to 2 days. Implemented a new software development life cycle to enhance R&D team awareness, expedite product development, and improve overall system quality.
In AI, spearheaded Celerant’s inaugural AI products, the Site-search, and Recommendation System for E-Commerce, collaborating closely with the machine learning team. Goal is to elevate performance, stability, and availability of the flagship product, Stratus, by integrating state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
Prior experience in the financial sector with roles at Bear Sterns, City, Merrill Lynch, and Morgan Stanley as a Java senior consultant. As CTO at Vertices, led GIS-based applications development for government entities.
Hold MS degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a D. Eng degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Florida. Research contributions include projects for the Patriot Missile Defense System and software development methodologies for parallel processing in an Air Force initiative.

With nearly three decades of experience in Point of Sale and E-commerce, I’ve witnessed the dynamic evolution of the digital landscape. It’s been a wild ride navigating the ever-evolving tech landscape.

Setup/Updates Department Manager
As the Setup/Updates department manager at Celerant Technology, Gautham leads his team and orchestrates the strategic planning and execution of hardware and software deployments. His expertise lies in the seamless on boarding of new clients as well as delivering cutting-edge updates to existing clients, leveraging the latest technological advancements in a rapidly advancing sector.
Gautham is a graduate from the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute and holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems with a Minor in Networking and Computer Security. Prior to Celerant, Gautham worked with the NYPD Information Technology Bureau to deploy the latest smart technology to our police officers all around New York City. In his free time, he enjoys tinkering with technology, working on and participating in automotive activities, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
