Press Release
Celerant Technology, a leader in retail software and eCommerce solutions, has partnered with Walthers, a leading manufacturer and distributor of model railroad equipment in the hobby industry, to help hobby retailers sell more products and place purchase orders electronically. This new integration helps hobby retailers by allowing them to pull the product catalog directly from Walthers, offering a more comprehensive selection of merchandise. Walthers specializes in the remote control trains and models retail vertical.
The new integration allows hobby retailers to import Walthers’ product catalog and enable automated purchase orders. The automation allows hobby stores and businesses to set minimum and maximum inventory levels within their Celerant point-of-sale software that automatically triggers when the stock of a particular product hits the predetermined level. The catalog import feature enables retailers to expand their product selection by offering items distributed by Walthers.
Getting started is easy for any retailer interested in selling Walthers merchandise. They need to contact their Celerant representative, who then sends the inquiry to a Walthers representative for approval. Retailers already using Celerant’s software can see the integration as available but won’t be able to activate it until it is approved.
Celerant offers two point of sale retail platforms that integrate with Walthers: Cumulus Retail, a cost-effective SaaS solution for small-to-medium retailers, and Stratus Enterprise, a comprehensive solution with advanced and custom functionality.
Wm. K. Walthers, Inc., located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is the largest model railroad distributor in North America. For over 92 years, Walthers has been distributing and manufacturing products for the hobby, including track, controls, locomotives, freight and passenger cars, landscape materials, structures, accessories, tools, adhesives, and railroad enthusiast artifacts.
