1. What is the main difference between Cumulus Retail and Stratus Enterprise?
Cumulus Retail is Celerant’s lighter retail software solution intended for small business.
Stratus Enterprise is designed with advanced functionality, and offers many more features and specialty modules that come included within the software.
Many of these specialty modules are available for purchase as an add-on to Cumulus Retail, while some are not available at all with Cumulus Retail.
Cumulus Retail is intended to be an out-of-the-box retail solution, whereas with Stratus Enterprise custom software modifications are common.

2. How much does the point of sale software cost?
The cost of the POS software can vary, depending on which system you chose, how many POS licenses you need, and other factors. Celerant’s Cumulus Retail software starts as low as $125 per month for 1 POS license with 5 back office licenses. Additional Cumulus Retail POS licenses can be added on at $45 per month per POS software license.
Training, hardware and other upfront fees can apply, depending on your selected options.
Celerant also offers retail software bundles, which have a higher monthly cost, because there are many more features added into the bundle. These bundles vary by retail vertical, and are designed to have everything a retailer would need in that specific vertical.
Celerant’s Stratus Enterprise software requires a custom quote, as the costs will vary significantly based on the needs of the retailer.

3. How much does the eCommerce cost?
Celerant’s Cumulus eCommerce starts at $250 per month and includes the website design, eCommerce site with 2 back office licenses.
Celerant offers eCommerce to retailers even if you do not have a retail store.
If you have a retail store, and would like to purchase both the Cumulus Retail point of sale and the Cumulus eCommerce, both can be offered together, starting at $350 per month.
Celerant also offers a more comprehensive eCommerce solution called Stratus eCommerce, which can be a standard design or a custom-built eCommerce website. The costs for Stratus eCommerce will vary and a custom quote would need to be provided.

4. Is hardware included in the POS software costs?
Hardware costs for computers, touch screen monitors and any point of sale peripherals are not included in the software costs.
Celerant has partnerships with leading hardware vendors and can be a one-stop-shop to provide all of your hardware needs for an additional cost.
Or, if you prefer to purchase your computers and hardware on your own, or use your existing point of sale hardware, we can simply provide our recommended and minimum requirements for supported hardware. This ensures you have the hardware that will support the Celerant retail software.

5. Do I need to purchase retail software training?
Training is required with the initial purchase of Celerant’s software. We offer different training bundles, ranging from 7 hours, 10 hours or more.
The retail software training is completed via live, one-on-one training sessions, online. You will work with your dedicated project manager to schedule your training sessions in advance, and then you will be sent a video call link to join for your session.
Each session is recorded, and you will be sent the recorded video to refer to, or share with your team, as needed.

FAQs: Retail Software Go-Live and Ongoing Support
1. What is the point of sale software go-live process?
Onboarding is completed in steps, with a goal to make it was efficient as possible for your business, as converting to a new point of sale and/or eCommerce is never easy.
As soon as you come aboard with Celerant, you are assigned a dedicated implementation manager to be your central point person for the entire project. This person will schedule your training sessions, host the majority of your training sessions, work with your team to help convert your data from your prior retail system (if you have opted for data conversion), and will act as your liaison for all aspects of your project.
Depending on whether you are implementing Cumulus Retail or Stratus Enterprise, your go-live process can take an average of 4 weeks for Cumulus, to an average of 8+ weeks for Stratus. The length of time is based on many factors, including how engaged you are able to be with our team during the process.
Celerant does also offer a ‘7 day go-live’ option as an option for Cumulus Retail. However, this is an expedited timeline and needs to be communicated and confirmed prior to beginning your project.

2. Can I use my own credit card processor for payments?
Celerant strongly believes in providing retailers with options, letting you chose how best to run your business. That said, there are multiple options available for you to choose from in regards to credit card processing.
Celerant is integrated with four different payment partners, including Shift4, Worldpay, Fortis and Global Payments. There is also a gateway option available as well, from which you can connect to most processors, with additional gateway fees that might apply.

3. What does the ongoing technical support consist of?
Celerant offers live technical support, via phone and email, which is available 7 days per week. Our support team is based nationwide, on varying time zones, and offers extended, after-hours emergency support via pager service.
After your business initially goes live with our point of sale software, you are assigned a dedicated support technician, providing additional support during your go-live process.

4. What ongoing training resources are available?
Training is available for you at any time, simple questions can be asked anytime via email or you can purchase one-on-one, live training sessions by the hour as needed.
Online webinars are also frequently hosted throughout the year, plus Celerant offers an annual client conference full of education, software training and best practices.

As soon as you onboard with Celerant, you gain access to your Celerant Client Site, which is designed to be a self-serving knowledge hub. From training videos, to new software versions and release notes, to new feature demo videos, to software add-ons and so much more- the Client Site has a ton of resources available.
From within the Client Site, you also have real-time access to your technical support incidents, where you can check the status and latest update, plus any modification requests if they apply.
In addition to being accessible from within Celerant’s software, the Client Site also has the ‘Knowledge Base’ which is an interactive training resource in which you can search any topic and find many training materials related with step by step instructions and software screen captures.

5. What other services do you provide aside from point of sale and eCommerce?
