Celerant Technology, a preferred retail software provider for the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), is expanding its existing integration with Orion Wholesale to include drop shipping capabilities. This new functionality enhances the current integration between Celerant and Orion Wholesale, providing FFL retail businesses with additional selling options. The drop shipping feature allows customers to place orders that can be shipped directly to their nearest local FFL dealer for pickup.
The new drop shipping integration builds upon the existing partnership between Orion and Celerant, creating additional sales opportunities for dealers. FFL retailers can leverage this functionality in two powerful ways: First, they can offer Orion’s extensive product catalog online without investing in physical inventory, allowing customers to purchase directly and have items shipped to their nearest firearms store. Second, the same integrated product feed can power in-store kiosks, enabling brick-and-mortar locations to offer an ‘endless aisle’ shopping experience where customers can browse and order products not physically stocked in the store for convenient local pickup.
The drop shipping capability complements the established Orion Wholesale integration, which continues to provide dealers with access to an online product feed that powers both eCommerce websites and in-store kiosks. Through this integration, dealers already enjoy access to 216 product lines with over 13,000 products from Orion’s catalog, complete with product images, descriptions, and availability data directly from the distributor. Celerant’s point of sale system continues to offer seamless catalog access, allowing dealers to import comprehensive product data and receive ongoing updates from Orion Wholesale with just a couple of clicks. Now, with the addition of drop shipping, dealers can display this extensive catalog and sell from it without maintaining physical inventory.
