LEGEND RC HOBBIES is New to Celerant. Jason Kliewer, who works on data conversion, is truly the BEST of the BEST! He thoroughly scrubbed our existing data, as we had extracted it into Intuit/Quickbooks POS (no longer supported) from a DOS based POS System many years ago when we purchased the Hobby Shop! He really cleaned things up and is a pleasure to work with!
Pros: What I like about Kim and her team was the seamless integration and level of communication. We had a tight deadline with our grand opening and she was able to make it happen.
Cons: There were a few hiccups along the way but nothing Kim and her team couldn’t handle.
Overall: Overall, great experience considering the size of operation and range needs. We have an extensive operation and Kim is always ready to help.
Quinn is the best. Would have no one else. Responsive and caring. He has the true Rizz, and cares about his clients
Celerant (specifically Quinn) has been amazing during our transition to their system. Unlike other POS systems, their customer service and support is spectacular.

Pros: We got into Celerant after using 2 failed POS systems. Celerant has been able to provide for us nearly everything we were needing in a POS system. Along with managing our inventory and being able to place PO’s easily, their ecommerce has made it able for us to get off the ground with online sales. Celerant provides you a team of people that are there to not only train you, but also help you troubleshoot any problem you may run into.
Cons: The only cons I really have is 2 minor things. 1, there is no quick or easy way to adjust inventory totals for something that isn’t a part of the integrated vendor system. Which isn’t really a big deal once you learn how to utilize the system. The other is the inability to move some items into a different category on the ecommerce side. It would be nice to be able to move some of the integrated vendors items to a category of you own choosing instead of the assigned category.
Overall: Overall, this is a great product! There is a lot of functionality and it honestly keeps track of you inventory in a much better way than the previous POS systems we’ve used. Also, they don’t cancel you for selling firearms or firearm related products like many other POS systems out there. Our store is going to be getting our FFL soon which Celerant is going to be a backbone of when we pull that trigger. If you are in the firearm or shooting sports world, this is a must have system!
Pros: I want to take this time to give a big shout out to my rep Kimberley Mano who is so patient and kind. She’s been great to work with and just her alone made my experience amazing.
Cons: This is a very complex POS, so you’re going to need to take a while to get to know. One thing I would recommend to Cumulus/Celerant, for gun shop retailers that sell firearms consignment and want to sell non firearm items via consignment. Create a firearms sale percent payout and a non firearms sale percent payout so that we don’t have to go into System Config to change the consignment percentage each time we need to list an item.
The other con is how expensive it is to purchase and continue to maintain an account with Cumulus/Celerant
Overall: I used to have Quickbooks Point Of Sale and this is much better. There’s much more you can do with this and I’m glad that I made the change.
I am absolutely overjoyed that I came across Celerant Technology. They are the solution that I have been looking for. For the last four years I have used various Point of Sale systems and none of them have been as comprehensive and versatile as Cumulus POS.
With the nature of our business being in the FA space, we’re grateful Celerant / Cumulus exists and doesn’t impose bias on the 2A community like other systems. So far, we’ve had great service and Quinn is very communicative, responds quickly and never seems annoyed by our hundreds of questions. Good experience!
I’m new to this Point Of Sale service and I love it. The customer service is amazing, especially Kimberley Mano, Implementation Manager. I used to have Quickbooks Point Of Sale and Celerant blows it out of the water. Celerant is everything and more that any retail business will need.
I’ve had an outstanding experience with Celerant. The customer service is exceptional, always guiding me step-by-step on how to operate the software efficiently. The features and reports are a great tool for running a successful store and range. The pricing for the quality of service and features provided is unbeatable. Highly recommended!
In October of 2023, I made the decision to move from our 25 year old POS /Retail Accounting software to a web based format. Because I had previous history with CAM Commerce’s Retail Star product , I was drawn to their expertise in retail software and their ability to migrate my data sucessfully to the Celerant technology. My experience in working with the staff at Celerant has been nothing but the best; from my Sales Exec. Chris Tabone, to my data specialists Jason Kliewer and Hans Schuler, and Implementation/Training Mgr. Dee Schilling. Each stop along the way I was treated with the same degree of training and detail as that of a multi-store retail operation. We met our desired go live date and my implementation manager Dee, has been accesible to fine tune the menus to our specific needs. The screens are very intuitive and easy to navigate. I anticipated a lengthly and stressful transition, but working with Celerant (a proven leader in the field), eliminated much of that stress and I am extremely happy with the finished product.
Overall, when the system runs smoothly, it is easy. Easy to navigate and helps us keep track of our inventory more efficiently and creates a faster checkout process for our customers.
PROS
How easy it was to learn to navigate the back office and POS.
CONS
It freezes up and kicks users out at random, causing the user to have to clear the cache, and log back in. All work is lost when that happens. Which can be time consuming if it happens repeatedly.
I may leave a second review just so I can leave 10 stars. Dee was absolutely phenomenal. Knowledgeable, professional, punctual. Everything you could possibly want in an onboarding specialist Dee provided. I think she went way above what was expected and exceed every expectation I had.
